THE ERASMUS+ KA2 PROJECT EUROPEAN TRAINING FOR COORDINATE METROLOGY 4.0 aims at innovating Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Coordinate Metrology in terms of context, content and usage of measurement data.
The automotive industry is the main reference context, with attention to the specific measurement technologies related to the Digital Manufacturing. Those include Cartesian Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM), Fringe-projection Systems, Industrial X-Ray Computed Tomography (CT), as well as methods for Point Cloud Metrology and Reverse Engineering. INNOVATIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD OF COORDINATE METROLOGY OPEN ACCESS COURSES e-learning open access courses* are available in the CMTrain platform: LOGIN INSTRUCTION USERNAME: erasmus-comet4 The project activities involved the design, implemention and validation of a set of tools and learning content to innovate education in Coordinate Metrology.
The innovative blended learning experience is based on the combination of effective e-learning and hands-on activities. The key elements of the course structure are:
The course content is structured according to the coordinate measurement workflow, consisting of 10 sections that collects the learning modules. Each learning module is structured considering the following points:
Open access learning content* developed during the project is available in the CMTrain learning platform.

FRAMEWORK OF REFERENCE FOR THE QUALIFICATION OF PERSONNEL OPERATING COORDINATE MEASURING SYSTEMS With industrial users as main target group, the framework is structured according to the recommended workflow of activities to perform a coordinate measurement, recognized in 10-steps. The integration of Fundamental aspects common to all the CMSs and Technology Specific content allows a modular and flexible qualification with different specific technology qualification paths.
The proposed framework of reference is based on on the identification of an harmonized list of Learning Outcomes (LOs) described in terms of knowledge, skills and competence according to the ECVET indications. They are grouped in Learning Units and assigned to a Step, Category (Fundamentals or Technology Specific) and a Level of qualification.
The framework defines the required competences to perform coordinate measurements using:
and can be extended to other type of measuring equipment. FINAL DOCUMENT Expected benefits:
To make training proposals consistent in terms of LOs against a reference;
